My name is Jill Miles. I am 32, a wife, a mother, and a full time student. When I was pregnant with my now 7 year-old daughter I gained a whopping 50 pounds with the pregnancy. I had gone from being a little underweight to being quite overweight. On my 5’3” frame, 158 pounds is quite a bit! I lost a little of the baby weight after giving birth, but the rest of it held on. The following year, I underwent a very stressful period…this is when I discovered Tae Bo®.
I picked up a video I saw at the store and I never went back. I had tried a few other things but never really liked the other videos that were out there. What stuck out in my mind was how Billy would interact with me while I was working out. I really noticed when Billy would speak into the television to me. He knew when I was tired and when I needed motivation…he knew how to push me beyond my limits. Over the next year, while my Tae Bo® workouts were helping me handle the stress in my life, I also lost weight and toned up. Not only that, but I gained strength in my body and mind that I never knew was possible.
In January 2005, I joined the Tae Bo® web club and have gained much insight and have developed some wonderful friendships with other Tae Bo® lovers there. I am now about 38 pounds less than I was after having my daughter and have more strength, endurance, and confidence than I have ever had before. Doing Tae Bo® has helped me manage the stress of being a full time student along with caring for my family. I have learned to step out of my comfort zone and step out in faith, to pursue dreams I never thought possible. Just recently, in July of this year, I went to California to certification camp and I am now a certified Tae Bo® instructor!
I have gone from skinny but weak to overweight to strong and healthy. I am in my 30s now and I feel better now than ever before and I continue to use my workouts as a tool for stress management and overall wellbeing.
