Our Fit By Faith©  team ran in our town's annual 5K run, September 16, 2006 and what wonderful success stories we have had!  Everyone did fantastic! You can click HERE to read about the 2005 5K run.

From left to right:

Janel:   This lady is such a FIGHTER!   She made a choice to get into shape about 5 weeks ago.  She also decided she wanted to run in the 5K for her short term goal and had very little time to train, but she worked hard.   She suffered from shin splints and a pulled hamstring which slowed her down in training, but she refused to give up.   This was her first 5K and she ran it in 36:13!

Andreana:  She is my daughter and this young lady has made quite a transformation this past year.  She has lost 20lbs and dedicated herself to staying in shape and was determined to be in this race and improve her last time.  She knocked FIFTEEN minutes off her score and ran it in 31:57!  We are so proud of all she has accomplished and she was thrilled too!

Charles:  He has been faithfully running everyday and getting into shape, but had a fear of the 5K and his nerves kept him from entering this year.  You could tell his heart wanted to and early that morning, he woke up, normally not an early riser, he felt God woke him up to get him in that race.  He showed up in time and entered and did fantastic running at 30:35!  It was so awesome to see him conquer this fear and he is already to come back next year and beat his time!

Krista:  Obviously, everyone knows what an incredible miracle it was for me to run last year and it was/is a huge testimony to where you are today is where your mind puts you.  This year, I didn't have a lot of training time to run, but still was working out in other ways.  I went in thinking I would beat my last time by a few seconds, but I took it down 4 minutes and won a MEDAL!  I got second place in my age group.   I am on cloud nine!  I give God ALL the glory!

Jennifer:  What a sweet lady this is.  She is a mom who used to be a runner and after having her baby, she put on weight and stopped running. She has been doing wonderfully on her weight loss journey and after some encouragement, decided to enter the 5K and trained for it.  She ran the race in 26:56!  It was so exciting to see her get back on track and reach her goals!  Next year, I believe it will be medal time!

If you were not able to run this year, put your mind on next year, believe, have faith and work hard and you will be the one reaching goals and overcoming challenges!
